reconvened,
our mouths and hands
were begging
to be spry
talked about the heat while jazz
hung pumpkins in the sky
we crawled around and itched
a bit, and then i rubbed my eyes
fingerpads swirled
and reeked of some
purpose hypnotized
you
gyrated and slipped
i
tightened my grip
dice were thrown
branches grown
i put my color on your hip
my prayer hands
were filled by it
and bridged your eyes to mine
but our bones, a bit
had gone too thin
and rattled as we tired
oh, i was so
low abashed
you, sweetly,
kissed it high
and thereupon, dawn bowed fore us
as weight-of-wait went by
and so i draped
my own in yours
and so you draped
your own in mine
still, as stars must, so do we
fade out
and kiss
goodbye

Just go knowing
there will be to much
to sense than will
be understandable
and even though the
times & faces may change
second chances do occur
and reoccur.
